Child Safety Standards
Last updated 18 August 2026
Voyagr has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out the standards we hold ourselves to, how we prevent this content and conduct, how anyone can report it, and how we respond.
Voyagr is an adults-only service
Voyagr is for people aged 18 and over. Age is collected at sign-up as a date of birth and enforced at that point — an account cannot be created with a date of birth under 18. Accepting our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, both of which prohibit use by minors, is a required step in registration.
We do not offer a child or teen version of Voyagr, we do not participate in Google Play’s Families programme, and the app is rated for adults.
What is prohibited
The following are banned outright, and result in immediate removal of the account:
Child sexual abuse material, in any form, whether uploaded as a photo or described in text.
Sexualisation of a minor, including in profile content, messages, or usernames.
Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to contact or meet a minor for sexual purposes.
Use of Voyagr by anyone under 18, whether or not the account misstates its age.
Sharing links, offers, or requests relating to any of the above.
These prohibitions are stated in our Community Guidelines, which must be accepted at sign-up and remain readable in the app under Settings.
How we reduce risk
Closed, club-scoped access. Voyagr is not an open network. Members join a specific club using a code issued by that club, and only ever see profiles and messages within clubs they belong to. A signed-in member who belongs to no club sees no other users at all. There is no global directory, no public feed, and no way to browse or contact people at large.
Automated text filtering at write time. Profile text, display names, city, direct messages, and group messages are checked against a blocked-term list before they are written. The list is held server-side and is not readable by the client. Terms are tiered: the most severe category is rejected everywhere, including private messages.
Human review on report. Photographs are reviewed by a person when they are reported. We do not currently run automated image classification, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a control we do not have. Reported images are prioritised, and accounts reported for content involving a minor are treated as urgent.
Blocking that actually blocks. Blocking is enforced in the database, not hidden in the interface. A blocked member disappears from discovery, can no longer exchange messages with the blocking member, and their existing messages in shared group channels stop being visible to them.
How to report
In the app. Open any member’s profile, tap the menu at the top right, and choose Report. The reason list includes Underage and Inappropriate photos. Individual messages can be reported the same way. Reports go directly to our team.
By email. Anyone — member or not, with or without an account — can write to safety@appvoyagr.com. You do not need to be a Voyagr user to report a concern, and you do not need to install the app.
We accept reports from parents, guardians, schools, club organisers, law enforcement, and members of the public.
How we respond
Reports involving a minor or suspected CSAE are treated as the highest priority and are actioned ahead of all other queues.
Where a report is substantiated we remove the content, terminate the account, and preserve the associated records. Where the concern is credible but unresolved, we suspend the account while we review rather than leaving it active.
Reports survive account deletion. If a reported member deletes their Voyagr account, the report about them is retained along with enough identifying information for us to recognise a return. Deleting an account and registering again does not produce a clean history. This is disclosed in our Privacy Policy as an exception to deletion.
Legal compliance and reporting to authorities
We comply with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where Voyagr is available, and we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the relevant national authorities and hotlines, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where US law applies.
We preserve relevant account data, content, and logs associated with such reports, and we respond to lawful requests from law enforcement.
