“go while you’re young”
Every adult I ever talked to about travel told me some version of the same sentence: “I wish I’d traveled more when I was younger.” I heard it from family, from teachers, from strangers in airports. At some point I decided I wasn’t going to grow up to be the next person saying it.

paris
So I went. A semester abroad in Paris — and the postcard version writes itself. What the postcard doesn’t show is the start: a new city, a new language, and nobody in it who knows your name. Everyone tells you to go abroad. Nobody warns you how lonely the first stretch can be.

the searching
Finding your people abroad turned out to be its own full-time job. Group chats that go quiet. Meetups that don’t stick. Plans that fall through. Honestly, it felt like the dating scene — endless searching, rare connection — and every week spent looking was a week of the semester I never got back.

when it clicks
Then it clicked. I found my people — and everything changed. Seventeen countries from that one Paris home base. Australia after that. Then back to Europe, because once it starts, you don’t really stop. Here’s what those trips taught me: solo travel with the right people around you isn’t lonely at all. It’s the most enriching thing I’ve ever done — new people, new places, new cultures, over and over.

why voyagr
Voyagr exists so the next person doesn’t burn half their semester searching. Your club is already inside. Your people are already there. You land with plans instead of strangers — and the traveling gets to be the point again.

one semester. seventeen countries. three continents. not a brag — just proof of how much searching it took before I found my people. finding yours shouldn’t be that hard.
